From the hand
to yours.
Selaka is a small silver studio in Ubud. We design each piece and make it with local silversmiths in Bali, a few at a time, so the work stays close to the hand.
That is why no two pieces are exactly alike: a curve a little softer, a surface a little different. It is what handmade silver looks like.
Organic by design
Soft curves, open space and a little irregularity give each piece its character without hiding the hand that made it.
Made in small runs
We make a few pieces at a time. When a run is gone, the next one is made by hand again.
Checked one by one
Every piece is checked for surface, proportion and comfort before it leaves the studio.
Silver is meant
to be worn.
Sterling silver darkens a little with time. A few simple habits keep it bright, and a soft cloth brings it back.
Every day
- Take it off in water. Before swimming, showering or sleeping.
- Perfume first, silver last. Let perfume, lotion and sunscreen dry before you put it on.
- Off for workouts. Sweat and friction dull the finish faster.
Clean and store
- Wipe it gently. A soft, dry cloth after wearing is usually all it needs.
- Dry it fully. If it gets wet, dry it before putting it away.
- Keep pieces apart. A pouch or its own compartment avoids scratches.
